Peaceful, comfortable stay with excellent service!
I had an amazing experience at a traditional ryokan in Kyoto with hard futons and unique food. But my stay at this ryokan, Seikoen, was a game-changer. The futons were incredibly comfortable, and the dinners were absolutely fantastic. From the moment I walked in, the staff provided great service and were so nice! They even walked me through each meal, explaining the dishes and how to enjoy them in English. The onsen facilities, especially the outdoor ones, were like a serene spa experience. The room had 2 comfortable sitting chairs by the window, perfect for relaxing and reading.

Easter Retreat
Spent Easter weekend at a fantastic hotel and had an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly, and the traditional Japanese room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the world heritage sites. The onsen and spa were relaxing and rejuvenating, and the food was absolutely delicious. The variety of dishes offered, including vegetarian options, made for a memorable culinary experience. The breakfast and dinner were exceptional.
The only disappointment was that my stay was too short! I wish I had more time to explore the area and enjoy the amenities of the hotel.

The location of the hotel was great, with easy access to the main sights and attractions. the rooms were decorated in traditional style and had amenities such as juice and water vending machines and a gift shop. Service was wonderful, with staff being helpful and friendly.
The bathroom was very outdated and not well-maintained, with mold growing on the shower curtain and some items appearing to be taped together.

We spent a lovely Christmas at a traditional Japanese ryokan located near famous shrines, with a delicious dinner served in our room and excellent service from the staff. the futons were very comfortable and the nightly baths were a relaxing experience with outdoor facilities. the location offered a peaceful atmosphere and was in walking distance to the shrines.
The bathroom was outdated and small with some mold present, and the towels provided were small. the lack of Wi-Fi in the guest rooms was inconvenient.

We were thrilled with how close this hotel was to the main attractions. The hotel facilities were sparkling clean, and the staff was extremely helpful. We could easily access the hotel from the Nikko station by bus or by fast train from Tokyo or Shinjuku. In addition, the breakfast was delicious and served with a smile.
All was perfect.
